Authentic faith leads to Joy

Dec 16, 2025    Lars Dahl

2 Timothy 3:1-5 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

Paul warned about people having "a form of godliness but denying its power", Christianity without Christ, culture without cost, inspiration without transformation.

The shepherds didn't just hear about the Savior; they ran to Him with haste.

They didn't stay comfortable in their fields discussing theology; they moved toward Jesus.

Authentic faith produces authentic characteristics: hope that anchors, peace that sustains, joy that overflows, and love that sacrifices.

Today, December 16, 2025, examine yourself: If you do not have Hope, Peace, or Joy, there is a reason why. It may be time to set aside some time this Christmas season to examine yourself.

It’s healthy, it’s good, and it’s biblical.

And, think about this, self-examination isn’t about guilt; it’s about readiness. And Christmas is coming whether we’re ready or not, so we might as well be ready, joyful, and awake when He arrives.

Do you love the culture of Christianity but resist the cost of following Jesus? Do you want inspiration without transformation?

The Holy Spirit offers power to overcome sin, live a holy life, and experience genuine joy, but only to those who surrender completely.

Please don't settle for religious routine. Pursue a real encounter with Jesus that transforms everything. Run to Him today.

Merry Christmas in this season of Joy
