The purpose of worship

Our Worship Team exists to glorify God and lead His people into His presence through music and praise. With hearts surrendered to Christ, we use our gifts and voices to help the congregation focus on Him, lifting high the name of Jesus in every song we sing.

We’re not here to perform, but to point others to the greatness of our God. Through excellence, humility, and Spirit-led worship, our desire is to create an atmosphere where the church family can encounter God, respond to His Word, and be transformed by His power.

Why do we worship

Because He is Worthy
The word worship comes from “worth-ship”—to declare someone’s supreme value. We worship God because He is supremely valuable. He is holy, just, loving, sovereign, eternal, all-powerful, all-knowing, and present everywhere. That alone would be enough to worship Him forever.

"You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created." Revelation 4:11 NKJV

Because We Were Created for It
Worship isn’t just something we do—it’s who we are. We were made in God’s image to glorify Him. When we worship, we align our hearts with our true purpose.

"This people I have formed for Myself; they shall declare My praise." Isaiah 43:21 NKJV

Because It’s a Weapon
Worship isn’t just praise—it’s warfare. When we worship, we resist the enemy, tear down strongholds, and declare God’s reign over our lives. Paul and Silas praised in prison—and God shook the earth.

"Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand..." Psalm 149:6 NKJV

Because It Transforms Us
Worship changes us. When we fix our eyes on God instead of our circumstances, our hearts are lifted, our minds are renewed, and our faith is strengthened. It draws us near to His presence, where peace, joy, and power flow.

"But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image..." 2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV

Because of What He’s Done
God didn’t just create us—He redeemed us. Through Christ, He rescued us from sin and death. Worship is our grateful response to the cross, the resurrection, and the promise of eternal life.

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 NKJV

Bottom Line
We worship God not just because we should, but because we must. He deserves it. We need it. The world needs to see it. And heaven echoes it.
