Bunkhouse Beacon - Witnesses Together

Lars Dahl

Zechariah 4: 6b NKJV - …Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.

Colossians 3:23-24 NKJV - And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. 25 But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality.

"Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord."

As a reminder, these two witnesses in Revelation weren't self-appointed, self-powered, or self-directed. Neither are we. God supplies what He requires.

The olive oil of the Holy Spirit flows through His people, enabling them to be lampstands—bearers of light in darkness.

But notice: there were TWO witnesses. We weren't meant to do this alone. The church body is designed to function together, with each member using their gifts, supporting one another in prayer, and encouraging one another in their calling.

When we feel inadequate or exhausted, remember that others are praying for you, and that God is supplying you with exactly what you need for today.

Question: Who in your church family can you pray for today, and who can you ask to pray for you?

Grace and Peace

Acts 1:8 NKJV - But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
