Stewards of Freedom
Bunkhouse Beacon - Stewards of Freedom
Galatians 5:13-14 NIV - You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. 14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.
Luke 12:48b NIV - ….From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.
To whom much is given, much is required. You have been given extraordinary freedom, both national and spiritual.
The question is: what are you doing with it?
Are you using your freedom to worship openly, raise God-fearing families, serve your neighbors, defend truth, and make disciples?
Or have you taken these freedoms for granted?
The cross of Christ purchased your eternal freedom at an infinite cost. American soldiers purchased your national freedom through tremendous sacrifice.
Don't waste these gifts on selfish pursuits or spiritual laziness.
You are a temple of the Holy Spirit, called to steward freedom with excellence. Go into your community, workplace, festival, and neighborhood, and be the church.
Serve others, share Christ, and let people see Jesus in you.
What is one specific way you will steward your freedom for God's kingdom this month?
Grace and Peace
