The steady faith of a thankful heart

Welcome to Grace Baptist Church in Iron River, WI. Today is Sunday, November 9, 2025 - Full Worship Service

We are so very grateful for your interest in our Church. We are friendly people who focus on practically applying God’s truth; we are not perfect. We could talk about who we are and how grateful we are; however, to experience God working in Grace Baptist Church, we would love it if you visited us at 10:00 am on Sunday to enjoy our worship service. We hope to see you soon! Read on...

Colossians 2:6-7 NKJV As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

A tree doesn’t stand firm in the storm because the weather is kind—it stands because its roots run deep. The same is true for our faith. Paul reminds the believers at Colossae that a steady walk with Christ begins where gratitude grows.

A thankful heart keeps faith from becoming fragile. When the cold winds of hardship blow, thanksgiving drives the roots deeper into Christ’s strength. It reminds us that even when life shakes, the soil of God’s goodness does not.

Faith may begin with belief, but it’s steadied by gratitude. A thankful heart is what keeps a believer from merely surviving the storm to actually standing firm through it.
