Know your enemy, Trust our God.
Bunkhouse Beacon - Know your enemy, Trust Your God
Ephesians 6:10-12 NKJV Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
1 Peter 5:8-9 NKJV - Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.
James 4:7-8 NKJV - Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
The spiritual battle is real, and ignoring it does not make you safe, it makes you vulnerable.
Paul makes it unmistakably clear that your struggle is not ultimately against people but against spiritual forces of darkness.
Satan's strategy has never changed: he seeks to oppress, accuse, intimidate, and redirect. He will tell you that you are not enough, that you have no right to serve God, that your failures disqualify you.
These are lies.
The same God who parted the sea, healed the sick, and rose from the dead lives within you. You are not fighting for victory. You are fighting for it.
Reflection Question: Where in your life have you been listening to the voice of the accuser rather than the voice of God?
Practical Application: When a discouraging or condemning thought enters your mind today, stop and ask: is this true according to Scripture? Speak a specific verse aloud in response.
In His Grace,
Lars
