Sealed and Protected by God
Bunkhouse Beacon - Sealed and Protected by God
Revelation 7:1-4 NKJV - Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, 3 saying, “Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.” 4 And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed:
Revelation 14:1 NKJV - Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads.
Revelation 14:4 NKJV These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.
John 10:28 NKJV - And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
The 144,000 described in Revelation are not hidden away in a wilderness. They are standing with the Lamb, following Him wherever He goes, sealed by God Himself for active witness and service.
Their protection is not passive. It is purposeful. In the same way, Jesus declares in John 10 that no one can snatch His people from His hand.
This is not a conditional promise.
It is an absolute declaration rooted in the character and power of God.
Your salvation is not held together by the strength of your grip on God. It is secured by the strength of His grip on you.
Personal Reflection: Do you live with the confidence of someone who is sealed and held by God, or do you carry the anxiety of someone who fears losing what God has promised to keep?
Practical Application: Memorize John 10:28 this week. Write it on a card and place it somewhere visible. Each time you read it, speak it aloud as a declaration of what God has secured for you.
Waiting for Him with you,
Lars
