Worship and Service
Bunkhouse Beacon - Worship and Service
Romans 12:1-2 NKJV I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Colossians 3:23-24 NKJV And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. 25 But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality.
The chief end of humanity is to glorify God.
When the church gathers, we worship in spirit and truth, not to be entertained, but to exalt and adore our Creator.
Yet worship extends beyond Sunday morning. It's offering your entire life as a living sacrifice, being transformed by the renewing of your mind, and working heartily for the Lord in everything you do.
True worship means serving your community, caring for those in need, and being the hands and feet of Jesus. It's not about what you get from church but what you give through the church.
Today, ask yourself: Did I worship God? Did I encourage someone? Did I use my gifts? Did I leave more surrendered to Christ?
Let your life be an act of worship.
Grace and Peace
