Bunkhouse Beacon – Light overcomes the Darkness

John 1:1-5 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

1 John 1:5-7 NKJV This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Darkness cannot overcome light. This is both a physical law and a spiritual reality.

Even in Revelation's darkest imagery, smoke rising from the abyss, spiritual blindness covering the earth, the light of Christ remains supreme.

When you stand in the darkness before dawn, you see shafts of light breaking through in the east. The morning always comes.

Jesus is the Light of the world, and He calls you to be light in the darkness around you.

Don't become spiritually blind by allowing the truth to grow blurry or your conviction to fade.

Don't mistake spiritual dimness for God's distance. He is near. His light shines brightest in the deepest darkness, giving you hope and assurance.
