Prioritizing Prayer and God's Word
Bunkhouse Beacon - Prioritizing Prayer and God’s Word
Acts 6:4 NKJV But we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.
The early church understood that spiritual strength flows from two essential disciplines: prayer and the study of God’s Word.
Prayer connects us to God’s heart, and Scripture aligns us with His truth. When we neglect either, our faith weakens, and our spiritual focus drifts.
In a noisy world filled with distractions, prioritizing prayer and the Word isn’t about adding more to our schedule; it’s about anchoring everything around God. Prayer brings intimacy; Scripture brings instruction. Together, they bring transformation.
Psalm 119:105 NKJV - Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Philippians 4:6 NKJV - Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
We speak to God through prayer, and He speaks to us through His Word. Both are essential for discernment, peace, and power in daily life.
Psalm 119:105 NKJV - Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. His Word is not a flood light, it’s a lamp to our feet, guiding each step, not our entire future…
Grace and peace to you
