Designed for Unity, not Uniformity
Bunkhouse Beacon - Designed for Unity, not Uniformity
1 Corinthians 12:12-14 NKJV For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. 14 For in fact the body is not one member but many.
The church is designed for unity, not uniformity. You are one body with many members, each uniquely gifted but serving the same Savior.
You don't have the same function as everyone else, but you have a necessary place and purpose.
There are no unnecessary parts in Christ's body; you matter.
The eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you." When you minimize your gifts or envy another's, you dishonor the Designer who crafted you specifically for your role.
So please, no comparing yourself to others. Instead, discover how your unique gifts, talents, and abilities can strengthen the body.
What has God equipped you to do? How are you using your gifts to serve others and build up the church?
Grace and Peace
