Advent - Hope, the foundation of Faith
Bunkhouse Beacon – Advent – Hope, The foundation of Faith
Romans 5:1-5 NKJV Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
During our Bible study this past Sunday and four weeks ago, we discovered that hope is not wishful thinking but confident expectation in what God will do.
Like the anticipation before Christ's birth, biblical hope anchors our souls in God's promises.
The Advent season begins with hope because it points us forward to God's faithfulness. When the world was waiting for a Savior, God was already preparing the answer.
Today, whatever you're facing, remember that hope comes first. It's the foundation upon which peace, joy, and love are built.
God has never broken a promise. What are you hoping for? Bring it before Him with confident expectation, knowing that the same God who sent His Son keeps every word He speaks.
Merry Christmas in this season of Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love
