Monday morning thoughts... Victory
Good Monday morning, Grace, and friends of Grace,
It's so cold this morning! 😂 Yesterday, we explored a powerful truth from Revelation 9 and 12 that should transform how we understand our standing before God and the spiritual battles we face.
During the short Bible study, we explored the decisive legal victory Christ won through His death, resurrection, and ascension, a victory that permanently removed satan's ability to accuse believers before God's throne. We examined how the cross didn't just forgive our sins; it ended satan's legal standing entirely. While he still operates on earth seeking to deceive and oppose, he no longer has access to God's courtroom. We also looked at Revelation 9's imagery of the Abyss being opened, reminding us that even in seasons of spiritual darkness and demonic activity, God remains absolutely sovereign. Every hard moment in your life exists under His authority, not outside of it.
Monday morning thoughts…
No accusation against you reaches God's throne. Because of Christ's finished work, satan's role as accuser has ended. Romans 8:33-34 settles this permanently: "Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies." Jesus isn't arguing your case; He has already won it. You stand justified, not because of your performance, but because of His blood.
Spiritual collapse often begins with dimness, not outright rebellion. Just as the smoke from the Abyss darkened the sun and air before torment began, many believers experience a gradual blurring of truth, a quieting of conviction, and a sense that God feels distant. Don't mistake His patience for approval. If you're sensing spiritual fog, don't ignore the smoke; run back to the light of God's Word and presence.
God's sovereignty extends even over the darkest moments. The Abyss is opened only by a key given by God. The demonic locusts operate with delegated, limited power. This means that whatever you're facing today, confusion, pain, or a spiritual attack exists under God's direct authority. He has not lost control, and the darkness has already lost. Morning is inevitable.
As we move through this coming week, I encourage you to stand firm in the truth that you are no longer under condemnation. The Judge and the Advocate are the same, and He bears the scars to prove your freedom. When the enemy whispers accusations, remind him and yourself that the case has been closed. Christ has risen, and you have overcome by the blood of the Lamb.
Let's live like people who know the darkness hasn't fully lifted yet, but that it has already lost.
In His Victory, Always!
