Run to Jesus for real Joy
Bunkhouse Beacon – Run to Jesus for real Joy
Luke 2:10–11 NKJV Then the angel said to them, Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
Luke 2:13–14 NKJV And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!
The shepherds were having an ordinary night, until heaven broke in. Notice what the angel announces first: JOY. Not better circumstances. Not easier politics. Not a calmer calendar. Joy came wrapped in a Person: a Savior… Christ the Lord.
Real joy isn’t something you manufacture; it’s Someone you run to. Temporary joys rise and fall with health, money, relationships, and news headlines. But Jesus doesn’t change.
When fear hits, when disappointment settles in, when the “holiday glow” wears off, run to Him.
The good news is still good, and the Savior is still near.
Today’s step: When you feel joy leaking out, don’t just try harder, turn quicker. Pray first. Worship out loud, and open Scripture. Run to Jesus.
Merry Christmas in this season of Joy
