The Holy Spirit in you

Bunkhouse Beacon – The Holy Spirit in you and me...

Ah, the Holy Spirit in you, that’s one of the most powerful, personal truths in all of Scripture. Let’s walk through it clearly and boldly.

There is the promise of the Holy Spirit

Jesus told His disciples: And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever, the Spirit of truth... for He dwells with you and will be in you John 14:16–17 NKJV.

Again, I say this a lot, but that’s not just poetic language; it’s the reality of divine indwelling. The Holy Spirit isn’t a visitor; He’s a resident. When you surrendered to Christ, He took up residence in you, not as a tenant, but as the rightful owner.

What the Holy Spirit does in you, day to day:

•He gives you new life. You’re not just forgiven — you’re reborn. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now gives life to your mortal body (Romans 8:11 NKJV).

•He transforms you. He’s not polishing up the old you; He’s shaping Christ in you. Think of Him as the master craftsman restoring the image of God within you.

•He empowers you. When you’re weak, He strengthens. When you’re uncertain, He guides. When you speak for Christ, He gives words and boldness.

•He assures you. His presence is the witness that you belong to God, The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God Romans 8:16 NKJV.

This is your choice. This isn’t about “feeling spiritual.” It’s about an ongoing relationship. You can grieve Him, Ephesians 4:30 NKJV, when you resist His conviction, or quench Him, 1 Thessalonians 5:19 NKJV, when you ignore His prompting, but you can also walk in step with Him, letting His voice set your rhythm, Galatians 5:25 NKJV.

He’s your inner compass pointing to Christ, your strength when you’re spent, your peace when the world howls around you.

Have a great, safe Friday and get ready for Sunday 😁
