Bunkhouse Beacon – Happy New Year

Up here in Iron River, the new year rolls in like fresh-cut trails after a snowfall, quiet, clean, and full of promise.

Scripture reminds us that God doesn’t wait for a new calendar to offer mercy; He gives it daily.

Because of the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22–23 NKJV

God is not interested in recycled resolutions or white-knuckle willpower. He invites us to something better: daily surrender.

Yesterday’s successes and failures don’t get a vote in today’s obedience. God’s faithfulness is already ahead of you, waiting on the trail.

As you step into this year, don’t ask, What can I achieve? Ask instead, Lord, who do You want me to become? That’s where real transformation begins.

Questions:

• What do I need to leave behind as I enter this year?

• Where is God inviting me to trust Him more deeply?

Please pray this into the new year with me…

Lord, I step into this year depending on Your mercy, not my strength. Lead my steps, shape my heart, and be glorified in my life. Amen.

Happy New Year!
