Guarding the next Generation
Bunkhouse Beacon - Guarding the Next Generation
Deuteronomy 6:4-9 NKJV - Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. 6 “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
Ephesians 6:4 NKJV - And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.
Proverbs 22:6 NKJV - Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.
Satan's strategy includes targeting children, the future of God's church. If families and churches remain passive, culture will gladly disciple the next generation with values opposing Scripture.
The dragon waited to devour the Christ-child; that same enemy seeks to consume our children through entertainment, education, and cultural pressure.
This demands intentionality.
Teaching children about Jesus isn't optional; it's warfare. Discipleship happens at home, in everyday moments, not just Sunday school.
Talk about God's faithfulness when you rise, walk, sit, and rest. Model authentic faith through trials. Pray protection over young hearts. Support families in your church community.
The fastest route to destroying parents is through their children.
Today, commit to being more proactive, whether with your own children, grandchildren, or supporting families around you.
Standing firm with you,
Lars
