Bunkhouse Beacon - The Temple of the Living God

Oct 1, 2026 • Lars Dahl

1 Corinthians 3:16 NKJV - Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NKJV - Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Romans 8:11 NKJV - But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

You are not merely a person who believes in God. You are a person in whom God lives.

The Holy Spirit does not stand beside you at a distance, offering occasional assistance.

He dwells within you, fully present, fully powerful, fully committed to your transformation and protection.

This truth changes everything about how you face temptation, suffering, opposition, and fear. The same Spirit who raised Jesus Christ from the dead is at work inside your body right now.

You are not an empty vessel hoping God might show up. You are a living temple. Carry yourself accordingly, and live from that reality.

Reflection Question: Does the way you live from Monday through Saturday reflect the reality that the Spirit of God dwells within you?

Practical Application: Choose one area of your daily life — your workplace, your home, or your relationships- and ask specifically how the presence of the Holy Spirit should change the way you engage there.

In His Grace,

Lars
