The Shepherd's voice in a noisy World
Bunkhouse Beacon - The Shepherd's voice in a noisy World
John 10:27-30 NKJV - My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.
This past Sunday, the Bible study's central warning is clear: the greatest danger is not recognizing the Antichrist but being so unfamiliar with Jesus Christ that you are deceived by a counterfeit.
A sheep does not study every wolf. It simply knows its shepherd's voice.
This is not passive faith.
It requires daily, deliberate time in God's Word, in prayer, and in genuine relationship with Christ.
The more intimately you know the real, the more quickly you will recognize the false. Ask yourself honestly today: How well do I actually know the voice of my Shepherd?
Reflection: What habits or distractions are preventing you from hearing Christ's voice more clearly each day?
Practical Application: Set aside fifteen minutes today with no phone, no news, and no noise. Read a passage of Scripture
slowly and ask God to speak to you through it.
In Christ,
Lars
