Bunkhouse Beacon – From Fear to Faithfulness

Genesis 3:8-11 NKJV - And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, Where are you?” So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.” And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?”

Fear entered humanity in the Garden when Adam responded to God's call with, "I was afraid."

This was the first time that word appeared in Scripture, and it reveals the origin of fear, not from God, but from separation from Him (satan).

The Bible contains 365 "fear nots," one for each day of the year, because God knows our tendency toward anxiety.

But here's the truth: choosing to live in fear is choosing to reject God's sovereignty.

Perfect love casts out fear because when we truly understand that God controls all things, from global events to the cells in our bodies, we can rest.

The tribulation, end times, and current world chaos are all within His sovereign plan. This doesn't mean we're careless, but that we're confident.

Today, identify one fear you're carrying and consciously surrender it to God's sovereignty.

What specific fear am I choosing to hold onto instead of trusting God's control?

Grace and Peace to you and your families
