How long are you willing to wait?

Bunkhouse Beacon - How long are you Willing to wait?

Isaiah 40:28-31 NKJV – He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, 31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Habakkuk 2:2-4 - Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. 4 “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith.

Waiting is not wasted time in God's economy. It is often the very means by which He shapes the person He needs you to become before placing you where He has called you to go.

The enemy wants you to grow impatient, to step out of the wilderness prematurely, or to conclude that God has forgotten your calling. He has not.

Before the crown came the cross. Before the victory came the suffering. Before the public ministry came the wilderness.

The question is not whether God will fulfill what He has begun in you. The question is how long you are willing to trust Him while He does.

Reflection: Is there a calling, a promise, or a longing that you have nearly given up on because of how long it has taken? Bring it honestly before God today.

Practical Application: Find one biblical figure whose story involved a long period of waiting before fulfillment. Study their response during the wait. Ask God to shape your own posture of waiting so that it reflects theirs.

Waiting for Him with you,
