The Birth Pains of Redemption
Bunkhouse Beacon - The Birth Pains of Redemption
Matthew 24:6-8 NKJV - You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
Romans 8:18-25
Jesus warned that wars, earthquakes, and suffering characterize the age before His return, not as signs to fear, but as "birth pains" signaling something glorious approaching.
Labor pains indicate new life is coming. Similarly, world chaos doesn't mean God has lost control; it confirms His prophetic word and promises Christ's return.
Israel experienced centuries of waiting, longing, and suffering before the Messiah came.
Today's church waits for His second coming amid similar turmoil.
Don't be alarmed by headlines or cultural decay. Instead, recognize these as reminders that our redemption draws near.
Let current difficulties increase your hope rather than diminish it.
Creation groans, but glory awaits. How can you maintain an eternal perspective today?
Standing firm with you,
Lars
