Bunkhouse Beacon – What God Withholds


Deuteronomy 29:29 NKJV The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.


The seven thunders in Revelation 10 uttered words John understood but was forbidden to write.


God deliberately withholds certain revelations from us.


As Americans, we want all information immediately; we ask Siri, Alexa, or Google everything, and demand answers.


But God says, "The secret things belong to the Lord." Why? Because if He's withholding something, we cannot carry that burden.


His restraint is His kindness.


We don't need to understand everything to trust Him completely. God reveals what we need and conceals what would distract or destroy us.


Faith is exercised precisely when we don't understand. Can you trust a God who doesn't disclose everything? You must, and you can.


What uncertainty are you struggling to surrender to God's wisdom?
