Bunkhouse Beacon - Belief—Praying for His Kingdom

Matthew 6:9-13 NKJV In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. 13 And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Luke 11:2 NKJV So He said to them, “When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.

Grace, when Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He wasn't simply giving them religious words to recite. "Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven" is a prayer that spans past, present, and future.

Every time you pray these words, you're aligning your heart with God's eternal purposes.

You're declaring that His reign matters more than your comfort, His will more than your preferences.

This prayer transforms how you view today's challenges; they're opportunities for God's kingdom to break through.

What would change in your life if you truly sought His kingdom first?

Today, pray the Lord's Prayer slowly, meaning every word, and ask God to make His kingdom priorities your own.

Grace and Peace
