The Enemy of you Identity

Bunkhouse Beacon - The enemy of your Identity

Revelation 12:9-11 NKJV - So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.

satan's most effective strategy is not convincing you to abandon God entirely. It is convincing you to abandon what God says about you.

Revelation 12:9 describes him as the one who deceives the whole world, and his methods have not changed since Genesis 3. He does not need a bold lie.

He only needs a slight distortion of the truth. When you find yourself believing that your failures define you, that God has grown distant, or that your sin has placed you beyond grace, recognize the source of that voice. It is not your Father speaking.

Reflection: What subtle distortion of God's truth have you accepted as fact in your own life?

Practical Application: Write down one lie you have believed about yourself and find one Scripture passage that directly contradicts it.

Waiting for Him with you,

Lars
