Christ at the Center of Everything

Bunkhouse Beacon - Christ at the Center of Everything

John 4:21-24 NKJV - Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Colossians 1:15-20

Worship is not a segment of the worship service. It is the posture of an entire life oriented around the Messiah.

Keeping Christ central is not a program or a policy.

It literally begins in the home, flows into the gathered Church, and extends into every mission and ministry undertaken in His name, and yes, even in events like the Blueberry Festival.

When Christ is displaced from the center, even slightly, everything else drifts.

The Church at Laodicea did not abandon Christ outright. They simply grew lukewarm, and that was enough to grieve Him deeply. Guard the center.

Worship in spirit and in truth, and let that worship cost you something.

Reflection: Is Christ genuinely at the center of your home life, or has He been given a reserved seat that you visit occasionally?

Practical Application: Choose one daily habit this week- a meal, a commute, a morning routine and intentionally redirect it toward worship, Scripture, or prayer.

Waiting for Him with you,

Lars
