Bunkhouse Beacon - Come to the Alter Daily

May 9, 2026

Romans 12:1-2 NKJV - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Grace, the Christian life isn't about trying harder; it's about connecting deeper. Everything begins at the altar, that place of surrender where you present yourself to God each morning.

Before you check your phone or plan your day, come to Him. Ask, "Lord, what do You want me to do today?"

This daily surrender is where you're filled with the Holy Spirit's power. It's where your mind is renewed, and your calling is clarified.

Don't pick and choose from Scripture like a salad bar, selecting only what's comfortable. Bring your whole self to the whole counsel of God.

Real ministry, real witness, real transformation; it all depends on God's power accessed through daily surrender.

Question: What would it look like to establish a daily "altar time" before starting your day?

Grace and Peace

Acts 1:8 NKJV - But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
