Going public with Your Faith.
Bunkhouse Beacon - Going Public with Your Faith
Acts 2:38-41 NKJV - Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” 40 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” 41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.
Romans 10:9-10 NKJV - that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
On the day of Pentecost, three thousand people heard the gospel, believed, and were baptized all in the same day. There was no prolonged waiting period.
Belief moved immediately into public declaration.
Romans 10:9-10 describes how genuine faith involves both inward trust and outward confession. Baptism is that outward confession made visible.
It tells your community, your family, and the watching world that something has changed on the inside. When we delay making our faith public, we often allow doubt and hesitation to take root.
What God has done in you is worth declaring openly and without shame.
Reflection Question: Is there any area of your life where your faith remains private when God is calling it into the open?
Practical Application: Share your testimony or your faith in Christ with one person today, whether in conversation, a written message, or a simple act of courage.
Waiting for Him with you,
Lars
