Victory over Fear
Bunkhouse Beacon - Victory over Fear
1 John 4:4 NKJV – You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
James 4:7 NKJV - Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
1 Peter 5:8-9 NKJV - Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.
Fear entered humanity in Genesis 3, the moment disobedience created separation from God.
Satan's primary weapon remains fear, fear of the future, fear of loss, fear of inadequacy.
But Scripture offers powerful truth: "He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world." The Holy Spirit dwelling within believers provides supernatural strength against spiritual attack.
Satan may prowl like a roaring lion, but he's a defeated enemy on borrowed time. The key to victory follows a divine order: submit to God, resist the devil, and watch him flee.
We don't fight in our own strength. Today, identify one fear troubling your heart and surrender it through prayer, claiming Christ's victory over darkness.
Standing firm with you,
Lars
